Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and document vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and timely.
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to residents' dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in accordance with health department standards.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to residents to enhance their quality of life.
- Communicate any changes in a resident's condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Wisconsin.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is preferred.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
