Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Administer medication as prescribed and report any adverse reactions to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent falls and ensure comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient conditions and care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment at all times.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies during your shift.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Florida.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help patients.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods as required by the job.
- Weekend availability is a must.
