Job Summary
As a Weekend CNA, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients during critical weekend hours. You will work closely with our nursing staff to ensure our residents and patients receive the dignity, respect, and medical attention they deserve.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) accurately.
- Assist patients with ambulation and transfers to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed nursing staff.
- Document patient care plans, updates, and incidents in electronic health records (EHR) promptly.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and therapeutic environment in patient rooms and common areas.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Reliable transportation and a positive attitude.
