Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and walking safely with assistive devices.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the RN or Physician.
Qualifications
- Current and valid North Carolina CNA License required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from the American Red Cross or AHA.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy.
