Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transfers, and ambulation using proper lifting techniques.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, and progress in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests for assistance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State CNA Certification (required).
- Experience in a clinical or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 pounds.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine passion for helping others.
