Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by recording vital signs and medical history.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccines as directed by licensed providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
- Manage patient intake, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance.
- Maintain examination rooms and medical equipment to ensure infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding follow-up care and prescriptions.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA is strongly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office setting.
- Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
