Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs, physical assessments, and medical history reviews.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
- Assist providers with minor medical procedures, injections, and point-of-care testing.
- Manage patient intake, including updating Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately and efficiently.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed providers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association).
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting is a plus.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
