Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures in outpatient settings
- Manage patient flow, room preparation, and sterilization of equipment
- Handle electronic health records (EHR) documentation with precision
- Coordinate patient education and discharge planning
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to cover occasional weekday shifts as needed
