Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, patient assessments, and EKGs under the supervision of a provider.
- Assist with phlebotomy, injections, and specimen collection as required.
- Maintain and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR) with precise documentation.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure strict infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Provide patient education regarding medications and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in a primary care or urgent care setting.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays.
