Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and medical histories accurately.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Manage patient records, including electronic health records (EHR).
- Coordinate lab work and referrals.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a primary care or urgent care environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a weekend team.
- Proficiency with computer systems and EMR software.
