Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vital sign monitoring with precision and empathy.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor medical treatments.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Handle patient inquiries and schedule follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, especially in a weekend capacity.
- Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic health records systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as required.
