Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients and verify demographic information accurately to ensure a smooth check-in process.
- Clinical Duties: Assist providers with patient examinations, prepare treatment rooms, and perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests.
- Medication & Admin: Administer medications as directed by providers and maintain accurate patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Communication: Effectively communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients and other healthcare team members.
- Hygiene: Maintain strict adherence to sterilization and sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for all patients and staff.
- Support: Assist with front desk duties, scheduling appointments, and handling insurance verifications as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and strong computer literacy skills.
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor and a passion for patient service.
