Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (BP, heart rate, temperature, weight) and record accurate data in electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with examinations, procedures, and patient rounds.
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain cleanliness and sterilization standards.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Gather patient history and prepare patient education materials.
- Manage inventory for medical supplies and handle specimen collection.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, especially in a hospital or urgent care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays.
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems.
