Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for critically ill patients
- Administer medications and therapeutic interventions with precise dosage calculations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and case managers
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation within strict timeframes
- Respond rapidly to emergency situations using advanced life support protocols
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care plans and medication management
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards in high-acuity settings
Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of critical care or emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and patient monitoring technologies
- Demonstrated ability to work independently during weekend coverage
- Strong clinical judgment and crisis management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
