Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions for assigned patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies with precision and safety
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop comprehensive care plans
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and appropriate interventions
- Maintain infection control standards and regulatory compliance
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Kansas RN license required
- ACLS/BLS certifications (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and unit priorities
- Basic computer proficiency with EMR systems
