Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards
- Manage patient records and maintain digital charting systems
- Administer patient education on oral hygiene techniques
- Order inventory and manage dental supply chain efficiently
- Coordinate scheduling for complex multi-visit treatments
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Current CPR/BLS certification (maintained)
- Minimum 2 years chairside experience in general dentistry
- Mastery of digital imaging software (e.g., Dexis, Schick)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient rapport building
- Proven ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical settings
- Texas dental radiography license (or ability to obtain immediately)
