Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper safety protocols
- Manage patient scheduling, charting, and digital record documentation
- Provide chairside support including suction, instrument transfer, and material preparation
- Deliver post-procedure instructions and ensure patient comfort throughout visits
- Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DAEF, DANB, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Arizona dental radiography license
