Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for services rendered
- Follow up on denied or unpaid claims with appropriate adjustments
- Maintain detailed patient billing records in EHR systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with providers to resolve billing discrepancies
- Generate monthly reports for revenue cycle analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical or hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and CMS guidelines
- Advanced experience with Epic or EHR billing systems
