Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits coverage
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Analyze claim data to identify billing trends and opportunities
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation accuracy
- Utilize Epic EHR and NextGen billing systems
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance
- Experience with denial management and appeals
- Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
