Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone, telehealth, and in-person triage to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop patient treatment plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with detailed documentation
- Educate patients on treatment protocols and follow-up care instructions
- Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently while adhering to protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases immediately
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years triage or emergency department experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
