Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person triage to determine urgency and prioritize care
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate treatment plans for emergency cases
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with detailed patient assessments
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and families during critical situations
- Coordinate with emergency departments for seamless patient transfers
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate complex cases to senior medical staff
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and hospital triage protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida with at least 2 years triage experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency environments
- Experience with telehealth triage platforms preferred
