Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting as needed to maintain dignity and hygiene.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications and report any changes in health to the supervisor.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals that meet the client's dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, or go for walks to provide emotional support and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Assist with light cleaning, laundry, and changing bed linens to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, social events, and grocery shopping.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature when required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a CNA, HHA, or state-licensed Home Health Aide is required.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in senior care or home health is preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and the ability to treat clients with respect and dignity.
- Reliability: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
