Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility and transferring patients to and from beds or chairs.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Administer medication and treatments according to physician orders and care plans.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings.
Qualifications
- Valid state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA).
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to lift and assist patients (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred.
