Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to reduce loneliness.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with eating if necessary.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take prescribed medications at scheduled times.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing to ensure a safe living environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, social events, or errands as needed.
- Communication: Report any changes in a client's physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: A high school diploma or general education degree is preferred.
- Willingness to Learn: No prior professional experience is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
- Compassion & Patience: A genuine desire to help others and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for positions involving client transport.
- Physical Stamina: The ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
