Responsibilities
- Provide Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications on time and report any side effects or missed doses to the supervisor.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary restrictions and client preferences.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
- Transportation: Provide non-medical transportation to appointments, social events, or errands as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and incident reports as required by state regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; CNA or HHA certification preferred.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Experience: Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or nursing assistance is a plus but not mandatory.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Reliability: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
