Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping to ensure a safe environment.
- Monitor client health and report any changes, concerns, or medical issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and errands as needed.
- Administer medication reminders under the supervision of a licensed nurse when applicable.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid CNA or HHA certification is a plus but not always required for entry-level positions.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
