Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Help clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a dignified and respectful manner.
- Medication Management: Assist clients with remembering to take their medications and ensure they are taken on schedule.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious, appetizing meals that adhere to any dietary restrictions or health plans provided by the client's physician.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in conversation, hobbies, or recreational activities to reduce isolation.
- Mobility Support: Help clients move around the home safely using walkers, canes, or wheelchairs, and provide transfer assistance.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; certification as a CNA or Home Health Aide is a plus.
- Experience: Prior experience in caregiving, elder care, or a similar healthcare role is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Driver's License: A valid driverβs license and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this position.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen actively.
- Compassion: A genuine, patient, and empathetic attitude toward the elderly and disabled.
