Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
- Mobility Support: Help clients with walking, transfers, and positioning to prevent falls.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and document administration.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in social activities and conversation.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning, laundry, and errands to maintain a safe living environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, shopping, or recreational activities.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Certification: Current CNA, HHA, or PCA certification is a plus but not always required.
- License: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy.
- Health: Ability to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
- Physical: Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or caregiving is highly desirable.
