Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications according to physician orders and safety protocols.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication history for accuracy.
- Assist customers with prescription refill requests, insurance inquiries, and medication questions.
- Manage inventory, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and performing monthly counts.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing equipment and computer systems (e.g., RX30, Pyxis).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment compliant with OSHA and state regulations.
- Assist the pharmacist in processing new prescriptions and special orders.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be willing and able to complete our paid training program and obtain certification upon completion.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for potential on-site training).
