As a vital part of our team, you will provide essential support to clients in the comfort of their own homes, allowing them to maintain their independence and dignity. Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide daily living support including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance as needed.
- Medication Management: Assist clients with medication reminders and ensure they adhere to their prescribed health plans.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, appetizing meals based on dietary restrictions and client preferences.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversation, hobbies, and social activities to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and running errands to maintain a safe living environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, social events, or recreational activities.
- Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with family members and the care team regarding client progress and any concerns.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; CNA or HHA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, or a similar caregiving role is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are required for transportation duties.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
