Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Vital Monitoring: Regularly monitor and record patients' vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and supplements while strictly adhering to safety protocols and physician instructions.
- Companionship & Communication: Provide emotional support, engage in conversation, and act as a reliable companion to reduce patient isolation.
- Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and laundry to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and thorough patient records and logs of services performed.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to client emergencies and alert the appropriate medical personnel or supervisor when necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide or CNA training program preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, nursing, or related healthcare fields is highly desirable.
- Licensure: Current Home Health Aide certification (or eligibility to obtain) required.
- Driving: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently with a high level of professionalism.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients up to 50 lbs; ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
