Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medication and report any missed doses or side effects to the nursing staff.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in conversation to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Household Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals, assist with light housekeeping, and run errands as needed.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, and shopping trips.
- Observation: Monitor the client's physical and emotional condition and document any changes in behavior or health.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in home health care or caregiving is a plus but not mandatory; on-the-job training is provided.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Soft Skills: Must demonstrate patience, empathy, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
