Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Change linens and maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for patients.
- Feed and hydrate patients according to dietary requirements and physician orders.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff and charge nurse immediately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with moving patients using wheelchairs or stretchers as necessary.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- 1+ years of experience as a CNA in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
