Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent falls and pressure ulcers.
- Communicate changes in patient condition, behavior, or status to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Document all care provided and patient interactions in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Valid and current California CNA Certification (CNA I or CNA II).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and team members.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
