Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility, transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or Physician.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered California CNA License (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; ACLS is a plus.
- Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or hospital settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Reliable transportation to and from client locations.
