Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing staff and healthcare team to update patient records and care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergency situations with professionalism and calmness.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized environment to prevent infection and promote patient well-being.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to supervisors and charge nurses immediately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Texas required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong focus on patient dignity and safety.
