Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes and concerns to registered nurses and physicians.
- Mobility Support: Safely assist patients with transferring and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Monitor food and fluid intake and ensure patients maintain proper hygiene.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Maryland State Board of Nursing CNA Certification required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: No prior experience required; however, completion of a CNA program is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical assistance.
- Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred at time of hire.
