Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Administer medications accurately and document care per facility protocols
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments and assist with meal services
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Support emotional well-being through meaningful resident interactions
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Active Virginia CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year experience in senior care or assisted living setting
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills with empathy and patience
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
