Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Provide basic personal hygiene care and maintain patient rooms in a clean and organized manner.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic care.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and assist with emergency situations according to established protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, assisted living, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical stamina to lift, transfer, and assist patients as needed.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
