Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the Registered Nurse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and ambulating safely using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Document patient care activities and changes in patient condition in accordance with facility policies.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment to prevent infections and accidents.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current CNA license in the state of Kentucky (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
