Responsibilities
- Patient Assistance: Provide direct care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) and report changes to the RN.
- Comfort & Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected.
- Mobility Support: Turn, reposition, and help patients move safely to prevent bedsores and promote circulation.
- Environmental Care: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized environment in patient rooms and common areas.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care activities and observations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current State Certification as a CNA or PCT required; New grads with enrollment in a nursing program are encouraged to apply.
- License: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients up to 200 lbs; physical stamina for prolonged standing and walking.
- Attitude: Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient dignity and privacy.
