Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient conditions and response to treatment in real-time.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the broader healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit environment.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
