Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, patient assessments, and screenings prior to provider visits.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR) accurately, and handle insurance verification.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed by licensed providers.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns with empathy.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and assist with scheduling appointments.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting preferred.
- Strong computer literacy with experience in EMR/EHR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.).
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the Fort Worth area.
