Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor vital signs and document resident observations accurately
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Assist with meal service and ensure proper nutrition and hydration
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable resident environment
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year experience in long-term care or senior living
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts (11pm-7am)
- Compassionate approach to elder care
- Basic computer skills for documentation
