Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature, accurately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility issues, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Prepare and serve meals according to residents' dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic medical records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment while strictly adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Kansas State CNA License.
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients as required.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic charting and documentation.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
