Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfer techniques to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, or surgeries as directed by nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as authorized by the nurse in charge.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a focus on quality care.
