Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, progress, and changes in condition accurately.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and the use of walkers or wheelchairs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-free environment for all residents and patients.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and physicians regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina CNA Certification and state license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented approach to care.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
