Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including charting in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status and changes to RNs and physicians as required.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure patient rooms and equipment are clean, sanitized, and safe for patient use.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Texas State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
