Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and surgeries, ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment to prevent infection.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff and physicians to ensure coordinated patient care.
Qualifications
- Current, valid California CNA Certification (required).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly preferred.
