Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Monitor patient health by recording vital signs, weight, and other information in patient charts.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment to prevent accidents and infections.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfer procedures using proper body mechanics.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families, answering questions and explaining procedures.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA certification in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
